Welcome to the Crossfield Skating Club

The Crossfield Skating Club has been in operation since the 1970’s and operates out of the Pete Knight Center in Crossfield.  The skating program, runs from September to March, and is open to children of all ages from Crossfield, Airdrie and surrounding areas.

The Club is a non-profit organization and is associated with Skate Canada. A volunteer board of directors, whose members are parents of current and past skating students, is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the club and ensuring that our children can participate in a well-balanced program that fosters a healthy lifestyle through activity and socialization.

Our organization, among other things, is dedicated to providing children with the opportunity to learn to skate for fun, fitness and achievement.

The Club also offers a CanPower skating program that offers an action-packed, high energy instructional power skating program geared to hockey and ringette skaters that focuses on balance, power, agility, speed and endurance. Skills, techniques and conditioning drills are taught in a progressive format that emphasizes how the skills apply to game situations.  It provides an alternative to figure skating and is an excellent complement for those athletes playing on hockey or ringette teams.

If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, please feel free to contact any board member to address your concern or send an email to the board at the club email address: crossfieldskatingclub [at] gmail [dot] com
